MGDA 2026 AGM, Awards and Title Submissions

Save the date! The Manitoba Gun Dog Association is planning to hold its 2026 Annual General Meeting and Awards Day on Saturday, December 5 at the MGDA grounds. A follow-up notice will include the meeting time, agenda and related documents once details are confirmed.

As we prepare to recognize the achievements and contributions of our members and their dogs, we are now accepting submissions for 2026 titles and award nominations.

Submit a Dog Title

If your dog earned a title in 2026, please submit the title earned and your dog’s registered name so we can recognize the accomplishment at the awards presentation.

Nominate Someone for an Award

Members in good standing may also nominate a deserving member, individual or group for one of the awards below. Nominations must be submitted in writing and should explain how the nominee meets the award criteria.

Service Award

A club plaque may be awarded to a deserving individual in recognition of significant or meritorious service through one task or a group of tasks. The award may be considered annually and is approved by a majority vote of the executive following a written recommendation from a member in good standing.

Life Membership Award

A Life Membership Certificate and permanent membership card may be awarded in recognition of significant meritorious service to the club. A candidate must:

have been a member in good standing for at least 10 years;
have made a significant meritorious service contribution; and
have served on the executive for at least four terms.

The award may be considered annually and is approved by a majority vote of the executive following a written recommendation from a member in good standing.

Patronage Award

A Certificate or Plaque may be awarded to a deserving member, individual or corporation for service in kind or a financial contribution to the club. The award may be considered annually and is approved by a majority vote of the executive following a written recommendation from a member in good standing. The recipient will receive a letter of acknowledgement and the appropriate certificate or plaque, and their contribution will be recognized on the Club House Patrons Board.
